Bought it for my mum, who stopped driving last winter. She had it on the Christmas market scene for three hours straight and rang me twice about it.

What it looks like in a real living room

Alpine village seen from bed
Snowy cabin scene on a living room wall
Hillside village from a bedroom corner

Set up once, in about a minute

1

Put it on a table facing a wall

Any pale, mostly empty wall works. Six to eight feet back gives you a window-sized view; further back makes it bigger, up to about 150 inches.

2

Plug it in and pick a scene

It runs YouTube out of the box. Put on a winter window scene and it stays there until someone changes it.

3

Turn the lights off

That's the whole trick. In a dark room the wall vanishes and all you see is the window.

In January it doesn't go in the loft

The winter scenes are what people buy it for. They're not all it does.

  • ·Runs Netflix, YouTube and Disney+ straight out of the box
  • ·HDMI in the back for a laptop, console or Fire Stick
  • ·Speaker built in, or send the sound to a Bluetooth speaker
  • ·Point it at the ceiling for films in bed, or outside in summer

So when the tree comes down, it becomes the thing they watch everything on.

The projector used as a home cinema

Before you order

How does it work?

Plug it into a socket and connect it to wifi. It runs Android with YouTube built in, so you open YouTube on the projector, pick a winter window scene and press play. It stays on that scene until someone changes it.

Does the room need to be dark?

Yes. Like any projector, Snowview needs the lights low to look its best — the way a cinema does. After dark it looks exactly like the videos on this page. With the main light on you'll still see the scene, but it washes out. We'd rather say so now than have you find out on Christmas morning.

Could my grandmother actually use it on her own?

Once it's set up, yes — but set it up for them. Whoever gives it connects the wifi, squares the picture up on the wall and starts the scene playing. After that it's the power button on the remote and nothing else.

How big can the picture get?

Between 40 and 150 inches across, depending on how far back you put it — anywhere from about 4 to 13 feet from the wall. Most people set it around window size, six to eight feet back, because that's what makes it look like a real window rather than a screen.

Can I angle it upward?

Yes — it rotates a full 180°, so you can point it at a wall, a real window or straight at the ceiling without propping anything underneath it. Snow falling on the ceiling above the bed is the one people don't expect.

When will it arrive?

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days, then delivery usually takes around two weeks. We'll email tracking as soon as it ships.

What if they don't like it?

Send it back within 30 days and we'll refund it in full. You don't need to give a reason and you don't need the original box.

Can I put my own videos on it?

Yes. It runs Android, so you can add your own through YouTube, your own USB stick or the HDMI port. Some people load a view of the street their parents grew up on.

Someone you know is looking at a blank wall tonight

Delivery takes about two weeks, so order early if it's a Christmas gift. If it isn't what you hoped, send it back within 30 days.
